Artist Statement

Being a digital artist makes me discover new methods of creating visual works by using technology as an art medium. Using other brands of digital software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Maya helps me think outside the box and problem solve on what could be possible. Using technology as an art medium is a bit difficult to use and learn, but I enjoy challenging myself on what could be created. I am fascinated in learning other brands of digital software in order to be used as a creative tool and to educate myself on how to use them. Learning new software helps me to challenge myself further when working with technology and to discover what could be made possible. It gives me freedom to explore myself as a digital artist to find new ways of creating visual works through computers.  I sometimes break the rules, such as combining different visual effects together, in order for me to discover new methods of creating digital artwork.

I like to combine other digital media to create something new and meaningful. Combing different animations together helps me to discover new visual ideas and to challenge myself to make those visuals happen.  My artwork represents how I see the world through my own creative imagination.  I am interested in contemporary art, especially pop art, and high contrast colors.  I find it intriguing to combine certain elements together to create something new and meaningful. Working in the digital world gives me an identity and it helps me to express myself on who I am as a digital artist.
